To St Barnabas Church - Hattersley
St Barnabas' is the local Anglican church serving Hattersley. It was built in 1965. and has served residents from when it was first opened in October 1966.Before that the residents had worshiped in homes from the very first weekend of moving into Hattersley. We offer a welcoming and secure place where people can explore questions of faith, share their faith journeys and explore together what it means to follow Christ.
The church building has recently been renewed following the storm damage of January 2005. It is a light and airy building and the sense of welcome is matched by a warm welcome from the church family.
We are in an Interegnum at present due to our Vicar Rev Derek Akker retiring due to ill health in January 2009.
We maintain our Sunday Worship as well as our mid week Morning Prayer and Wednesday Eucharist
